Beauty
I wanted to share these wonderful trees across the street from my home. They are very old and just beautiful. I have these photos hanging in my foyer hallway. Last year the biggest of these trees was removed (not shown) because it was dying and I was sad to see it go. It was just enormous. At another time wil have to dig up phtotos taken with that tree as a backdrop.

My Home Decorating
We have lived in this turn of century Victorian for almost 3 yrs now. Recently I have finally started to redecorate and make the decore reflect my own tastes. The decor inside was either extremely bland with white walls or crazy busy wall paper. I swear with old homes you forever are working on them. We in the past 3 yrs, had to repaint the exterior, re-roof and even replace the sidewalk..yes the sidewalk. It is more work that we anticipated, but we love this house and focus that we will have years to enjoy all this hard work and money spent. I am not completely done with these rooms but you get the idea. I am trying to finish these rooms off a bit more and then move onto other rooms...

Such a long time since my last post!
Between my Mamapatrice jig and the kids and school...I haven't been left with much play time. I just wanted to share these photos of my youngest. she is just growing so tall, I think she will catch up to Amelia eventually, even though they are almost 2.5 yrs apart in age. I will have to share photos of our now 6 mo old puppy who is well into 70lbs. The kids and I just adore her, she is super sweet. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Fall. Despoite being so busy I do love this time of year.

This is me. I thought might be fun to give you a face to the name. My 8 yr old son took these pics for me...not a bad start (although amazing what can be done with a photo with good cropping and editing). Iis a lot of camera to hold. Although he says he wants to be a pilot in the Airforce and a scientist when he grows up. So much like his daddy! But I am sure some of me is in there too:)

It is amazing what having the right equipment can do in your quality of photos or in basically any job to do. Of course what comes with that is knowledge in how to use technology and machinery that makes the task easier. I still have so much to learn. I go a little cross eyed trying to learn these technologies. I do think that much of my sucess (however small) with photography is that my subject is just so photogenic! But what mother doesn't feel that way :)

If one model is a challenge...is 2 models double the work? I think I have more shots of the 2 yr od running wild, than anything else. With her 5 yr old sister running around putting a old branch of dried up leaves on my head. But I also caught some sweet shots of her watching bubbles...thanks to that same older sister. I can't tell if it was more work or less...but I do think it is doubly precious!

This week I am being featured on boutique cafe, with a fashion show of my work. Daria did a wonderful job creating the slide show of my designs and I was so touched by the wonderful and sweet comments people have been leaving. A direct link to the interview and show is http://www.boutiquecafe.com/home/?p=220

This is one of my favorite photos of my youngest. She is usually very busy being a mother hen...so this was a rare momment to capture some stillness. Her favorite attachment item is a baby doll. She carries it EVERYWHERE...and makes me buckle the doll in a seat in the car, no matter how short the drive or errand. It is easier when the attachment item is a blanket! LOL

A Blast from the Past
I thought it would be fun to start out sharing my very 1st design. It was 2 years ago. I didn't know how to sew but after seeing custom boutique on eBay, I really wanted to learn how. I have a strong art background and love using my creative nature. So I started with these hanky dresses. Over time I started embellishing tees and jeans. Then onto attempting patterns. And I do say attempt...even to this day I have a hard time following directions and prefer using a pattern piece here and there and drafting my own. I treat my designs as I would as if I were sculpting. Somtimes I can't believe how much I have grown in 2 years and, I still have so much more to learn!
My advice, give your dreams a try, you may surprize yourself!

I thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit and start a blog. From posting my current custom couture child clothing designs to just little tid bits of my daily life. And give others a chance to share their comments too!
I am a stay at home mom of 4 very unique individuals and wife to a special guy who works hard for us all. My kids are my life...They are the most amazing and hard thing I have ever done. Just when you have things figured out...You realized you didn't!
I, as always, have a lot of work to do so have to keep this short...But wanted to leave you all with a photo a took this past weekend of my kids...And yes the dog too!
